The Marantz SR5015 is one of Marantz’s top-of-the-line amps. The 5015 has all the bells of whistles. The receiver supports 4K and 8K video, plus it’s also able to process some of the latest audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.

The Marantz SR5015 is a sharp-looking piece of equipment, that’s for sure. The front panel is super clean and streamlined, with a circular display that displays your source and volume. This simple understated look has become a hallmark of Marantz amps. The buttons are clearly labeled and easy to find, so you don’t have to fumble around trying to change the volume or switch inputs. The whole thing is done up in black, and it’s built like a tank. All in all, the Marantz SR5015 is a great-looking piece of kit that’ll look right at home in any home theater.

The bass is tight and punchy, the mids are clear and natural, and the highs are crisp and airy. Vocals are especially well-rendered, with great clarity and separation.

I also tested the SR5015 with some orchestral music and it was able to handle the complexity and dynamic range with grace. The strings, horns, and percussion all came through with great detail and realism. It’s like having a concert hall in your living room.
