The Denon AVR-S570BT looks like most of the av receivers that Denon has pushed out over the last few years. The center display panel is flanked on either side by source select and volume knobs. The front of the receiver is clean and tidy. It won’t win any design awards but, overall the 570BT’s appearance is on par with most amps you’ll see on the market.

Denon AVR-S570BT Performance
Since the Denon S570BT is considered an entry-level receiver, I didn’t go into the review with high hopes. However, the 570BT impressed me. One of the things that stood out the most about this receiver is its mid-range response. It’s got a real clarity to it that makes vocals and instruments sound crisp and defined. I put on “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen and was blown away by the way the receiver handled Freddie Mercury’s powerful vocals. It was like he was singing right in front of me. I also put on “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin and was equally impressed by the richness of the guitar and the depth of the bass. It was like I was hearing the song for the first time all over again.
While the receiver’s mid-range was impressive, when comparing it to more expensive receivers like the Marantz SR5015, the 570BT didn’t have enough power to maintain the coherence once I really cranked the volume. Essentially, if you need a receiver for a large room, then you may want a receiver that has a little more oomph.
The bass response is pretty impressive too. I put on “I Want to Hold Your Hand” by The Beatles and the bass guitar really stood out, it had a depth and power that I would expect in a more expensive av receiver.
When it comes to movies, the Denon AVR-S570BT is equally impressive. I fired up “The Shawshank Redemption” and was immediately struck by the immersive sound. It was like I was right there in the prison yard with Andy and the guys. The dialogue was crystal clear and the score was powerful and emotional.
I also watched “Inception” and was impressed by the way the receiver handled the mind-bending sound effects. The action scenes were intense and the subtle sounds in the background added to the overall experience.
Next up were “The Dark Knight” and “Jurassic Park” and I was once again impressed by the receiver’s ability to handle all the different elements of the film. The action scenes were explosive and the dialogue was crisp and clear. In Jurassic Park the sound of the dinosaurs was so realistic that I felt like they were in my living room.
The last movie I watched was Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker on the Denon AVR-S570BT. The receiver truly shines when it comes to handling all of the different elements of the film. From intense lightsaber battles to epic space battles, the Denon AVR-S570BT delivers a truly immersive audio experience.
One of the things that stood out to me the most was the clarity of the dialogue. With so many characters and so much happening on screen, it can be easy for the dialogue to get lost in the mix. But the Denon AVR-S570BT ensures that every line is crystal clear and easy to understand.
The receiver also handled the film’s score with ease. The epic themes and soaring orchestrations really come to life on the Denon AVR-S570BT, making for a truly emotional viewing experience. The bass response is also impressive and it adds a real sense of power to the film’s action scenes.
Conclusion
The Denon AVR-S570BT is a damn good av receiver, entry-level or not. It doesn’t have the power of more expensive receivers, so this wouldn’t be a good fit for large spaces. However, if you have this in a small to medium size room this receiver won’t disappoint.
