Sonos has just launched an environmentally friendly recycling program called Trade-Up that will save you up 30% on a new Sonos speaker. The catch is that in order to receive the discount you have to trade-in your old speaker.
Not every speaker is available for the recycling program. To find out if yours is eligible, you’ll need to login to your Sonos account, select the speaker or speakers you want to trade-in and if it is, you’ll receive a credit to use towards a new Sonos device.
After 21 days the data on your old device is wiped and it’s permanently deactivated. After that, you can take it to a participating retailer, the nearest recycling center or you can print out a pre-paid mailing label and ship the unit back to Sonos.
The credits you receive for the trade-in never expire, so you can take your good old time using them on a new fancy Sonos speaker. To see if you’re eligible, head over to the Sonos’ Trade Up site.
